At Instruct Counsel, we know the importance of certainty, consistency and transparency in relation to costs. We also understand the complexities of funding court actions whether it be on a recoverable expenses basis or on a fixed fee for an insurer. We aim to tie in with your billing requirements. We take a pragmatic and commercial view in relation to costs and are happy to tailor our service to meet your needs.

Our promise to you

  • We will only charge you for work actually carried out - no cancellation fees
  • All work billed on the same basis regardless of which Counsel we organise to carry out your work
  • Fees based around a reasonable hourly rate
  • Payment only becomes due 300 days after work completed - no monthly reminders

If you act for a pursuer, we're normally happy to organise your instructions on the basis that we will accept recoverable expenses payable on conclusion of the case. This can help minimise your risk and financial exposure.

For firms acting on behalf of defenders, we can offer the option of a Fixed Fee per case for volume instructions. We're also happy to agree fee packages for your firm or any individual client. We know how hard you have to work to win and retain clients. We want to help give you a competitive edge.
